A small cottage in the forest, 600 meter to the sea and 800 meter to swimming area.


The house is located on the island of Orust on the west coast. Orust has rocks, bathing spots, sun, ice cream and also several super nice picturesque fishing communities. From Orust it takes just under an hour to Gothenburg including Liseberg or north to Nordens Ark, (park for endangered animals).

The surroundings
This cottage has a large plot and is located last house on a small road, so here it is very child friendly. Here is a generous terrace, with barbecue, outdoor furniture and sea view.

The cottage
Welcome to the large hall with lots of light and two nice armchairs. The cottage has 3 bedrooms, kitchen, family room, toilet and shower.

One of the bedrooms is large with double bed and two bedrooms are small, with single beds. The master bedroom also has an entrance to the cottage’s shower. You reach the toilet from the hallway.

The living room has much space, lots of windows and exit to the patio. There is a dining room table with and a sofa bed for two. The kitchen has all amenities, such as dishwasher, coffee maker and toaster.

Bathing area
The fine bathing place is 7-10 minutes walking away (see pictures). Here are several small beaches with sand and good bottom.
There are also rocks to jump from.
A steep staircase leads down to the beach so you can’t drive down with a babystroller, so you need to carry the babystroller down and it works well if you have some help.

Svineviken
Svineviken and Kungsviken are two small ports, where boat yards are common activities. These small ports are only a 15-30 minute walk from the house.

More to do on Orust & Tjörn
Pilgrimsleden on Orust is eight mil long and connects eight churches. It runs in a loop and forms an eight. see link for Fun on the island. Göksäter where you find lots of cheap and “good to have things”. Töllås sheep farm has a wonderful cafe, where also you can buy vegetables from the garden plot. Tavlebods honey farm, shows in a very educational way how bees live and make honey. There is also a café with good coffee and honey candies to buy. A day trip to Gullholmen or Kärringön is a must, the ferries go from Tuvesvik.

The traditional Sundsby Säteri on the island of Tjörn is not only about history, its kitchen garden and footpaths through stunning scenery. There is also a restaurant here with very good meals and home-baked cakes in the courtyard café. In the summer you can buy freshly baked bread in the farm shop. They serve excellent “fika” (Swedish for coffee and pastry, coffee can be substituted with other beverages) and different honey products are for sale.
