Could it be better?

The lake:
The Grindsby water is one of Orust’s largest lakes. Here you can row or kayak, fish or take a dip from the cliffs, or from the small beach. Here are cozy bays to stop at if you row the boat, bring a cup of coffee and enjoy the solitude.

Main cottage
The main house has an open plan with kitchen and living room. The kitchen has all the comforts and the living room has lovely views from the sofa. Bathroom with shower, wc and washing machine. The bedroom has a double bed and the living room has a sofa bed.

Guest cottage:
The guest cottage has a room, with a single bed and a sofa bed for one.

Greenhouse
Here you can sit down in the evening and play some games or watch the sunset.

Boat & Bicycles The boat and 3 bikes can be used during the stay. The boat is a rowing boat and you can row out in the lake to fish or just enjoy the lake.

The plot
Imagine showing up in the greenhouse or down at the cliff with fresh seafood or something good from the grill while enjoying the sunset over the lake. The large terrace offers sun all day and from the rocks you can go swimming & sunbathe there undisturbed.

Note, the house is not suitable for small children due to hilly plot and mountain plateaus.
The pavilion should be set up on the stand on the patio before the summer.

The surroundings
You live by the Grindsby water and by the outdoor promotion you can rent canoes at Ålgårds mill, which is just 5 minutes walk from the cottage. You also have only 10 minutes by bike to Slussen.

Slussen
In Slussen there is a municipal bathing place with jetty, jumping tower & dressing room. For the nature enthusiast there is a fine bird tower just outside Slussen where you can see many species that were more common in the past. There is also a very popular restaurant where you can eat well and enjoy live music. slussens pensionat And a golf course 4 km from the cottage golfbana .

MORE TO DO ON ORUST & TJÖRN
Pilgrimsleden on Orust is eight mil long and connects eight churches. It runs in a loop and forms an eight. see link for Fun on the island. Göksäter where you find lots of cheap and “good to have things”. Töllås sheep farm has a wonderful cafe, where also you can buy vegetables from the garden plot. Tavlebods honey farm, shows in a very educational way how bees live and make honey. There is also a café with good coffee and honey candies to buy. A day trip to Gullholmen or Kärringön is a must, the ferries go from Tuvesvik.

The traditional Sundsby Säteri on the island of Tjörn is not only about history, its kitchen garden and footpaths through stunning scenery. There is also a restaurant here with very good meals and home-baked cakes in the courtyard café. In the summer you can buy freshly baked bread in the farm shop. They serve excellent “fika” (Swedish for coffee and pastry, coffee can be substituted with other beverages) and different honey products are for sale.
