Welcome to lovely Sjölunda, perfect for 3 or 4 families.

Welcome to charming Sjölunda where you can experience the spirit of times gone by.
The house was built in 1901 and is reminiscent of Astrid Lindgren’s “The Tale of Madicken”

THE HOUSE
This beautiful old house is large and has two floors (see floor plan in the pictures).
There is room for 17 people divided into 7 bedrooms and to Sjölunda. Pets are also welcome.
The kitchen is fully equipped and the living room has wonderful sliding windows for access to the terrace and wonderful views down to the meadows and the lake. The house has been renovated in stages and a careful renovation is currently underway which will gradually bring out the house’s old charm again.

THE SURROUNDINGS
The house is located in the contryside on Orust. Here you have fantastic nature and a nice view of the small lake, Kollungeröd water. Here you can walk the hiking trail Kultehamn and you can book Camel Riding, which is only 7 minutes by car.

THE GARDEN
The back of the house offers a large terrace, above ground pool and fenced lawn. There are also swings, a slide and a small playhouse. There is a dining table with seating for 6 – 8 people and a bar table with seating for 6 people. Charcoal grill and gas grill.

BEACH
To Svanesund’s lovely bathing area it is only 6 km and it has both parking, toilets, bathing jetty, jumping tower and large playground. See pictures.

Svanesund, Orust
Svanesund is located on the strait between the mainland and the eastern side of Orust. In the strait there is a car ferry that takes you smoothly between the island and the mainland (Stenungsund).
In Svanesund there are restaurants, grocery store, marina, football field and communications by bus and ferry.

Farm shops, cafés with ”gofika” & hiking trails – Orust have it al!

Your most important word to learn in Swedish is “fika”

NOTE:
* The house has been renovated in stages. The current owner will change the facade and windows starting in the autumn of 2022 because the paint has started to drop on the facade and the windows are old and worn by time and weather. The picture on the front of the house was taken a number of years ago. But right now a careful renovation is underway on the inside.
